How to Use Netflix on Fibe TV

Netflix is available directly on your Fibe TV set-top box. Access your Netflix account, and watch your favourite shows without changing inputs or using an over-the-top device.

How do I access Netflix?

You can access Netflix on any of the following Fibe TV or Satellite TV receivers without any additional equipment:

  • 4K Whole Home PVR (VIP 5662)
  • 9500 Whole Home PVR (Satellite)

Then, there are two ways for you to access the Netflix app:

  1. Go to channel 55 or 1055 and press Select or OK to launch the Netflix app.
  2. Press APPS or INTERACTIVE TV on your remote to bring up the App Launcher. Scroll down until you see the Netflix icon and press Select or OK to launch the app.
How do I sign up for Netflix?

If you are new to Netflix, you can create a Netflix account directly on your TV screen when you launch the Netflix app, or you can visit netflix.com/mts. Once subscribed, you can log in to the Netflix app using that email address and password.

How much does Netflix cost?

You directly pay the monthly subscription fee to Netflix. Bell MTS does not charge additional fees to access Netflix.

How do I exit the Netflix app?

To exit without signing out of your Netflix account:

  1. Press the BACK button on your Bell MTS Fibe TV remote.
  2. Navigate to Exit Netflix.
  3. Press Select or OK.

You’ll go back to the channel you were previously watching and will stay logged in to your Netflix account.

To exit and sign out of Netflix:

  1. Press the BACK button on your Bell MTS Fibe TV remote.
  2. Select the gear icon.
  3. Navigate to Sign Out.
  4. Press Select or OK.

You’ll go back to the channel you were previously watching. If you sign out, you’ll need to log in again the next time you use the Netflix app.

How do I set parental controls for Netflix on Bell MTS Fibe TV?

Parental controls for the Netflix app are separate from those you set on Bell MTS Fibe TV. To change parental controls for Netflix, log in at netflix.com and select Parental Controls.

How do I set my language preferences for Netflix on Bell MTS Fibe TV?

Language preferences on the Netflix app are separate from those you set on Bell MTS Fibe TV. To change your Netflix language preferences, log in at netflix.com and select Language. Once you log back in to Netflix on Bell MTS Fibe TV, your selected language preference will appear.

How do I turn on subtitles?

To select subtitles or an audio track in a different language:

  1. Press the down arrow on your Bell MTS Fibe TV remote while watching a Netflix title.
  2. Select Audio and Subtitles.
  3. Press Select or OK.

From this menu, you can select and save your preference.

How do I change from SD to HD?

The Netflix app is only available in HD, however it will work on any TV including Standard Definition (SD). When watching in SD, programs will display in letterbox.

Does watching Netflix on my set-top box use one of my four streams?

Yes, Netflix will require one of your TV streams.

Why does the audio level seem lower when I watch Netflix?

Netflix encodes its programs to be used across many different platforms. Depending on the way your TV sound is configured it may sound lower than regular TV channels. This is common across various platforms with Netflix. Turning up the volume on your TV or amplifier will solve this problem.

Can I watch Netflix in 4K on my set-top box?

Yes, Netflix 4K requires a subscription to 4K service, a compatible 4K Television, minimum Fibe 50 Internet, and Netflix Premium subscription.
