Volume Control Setup Options

The volume controls will control your Set Top Box (STB) until the TV button is programmed, e.g. if DVD button is selected then volume controls your STB. If TV button is programmed and DVD button is selected, then volume controls your TV.

Choose the instructions, for the option you want:

Volume always controls the same device
  1. Press the TV button and while holding it pressed, press the OK button for one second.
  2. Release both buttons, all three of the TV, DVD and AUX will flash followed by the TV button light remaining on.
  3. Press and hold the MUTE button for three seconds until the TV button light briefly turns off then remains on. Press and release the button that you always want to operate the volume commands (STB, TV, DVD, and AUX). The selected button light will remain on.
  4. Press and release the MUTE button to save the setting. The selected button light will turn off indicating a successful setup.

The volume commands will be setup for the selected device despite what button is selected. If the selected button light flashes for three seconds and turns off, then the selected button will have no volume commands of its own and will need to start over from step 1 above and select a different button (STB, TV, DVD or AUX) to program the device.

Volume control depends on device selected
  1. Press and hold the TV button and while holding it pressed, press the OK button for one second.
  2. Release both buttons, all three of the TV, DVD and AUX buttons will flash followed by the TV button light remaining on.
  3. Press and hold the MUTE button for three seconds until the TV button light briefly turns off then stays on, then release the MUTE button.
  4. Press and release the MUTE button to save the setting. The TV button light turns off indicating successful setup.

The volume commands will now work for different devices.

Note:

If a programmed button (TV, DVD or AUX) has no volume commands of its own, then the volume control will normally operate the TV.
